Sustainable Dance Club at the London Olympics!

We are proud to announce that millions of visitors generated energy while visiting the Olympic Park! With an interactive light installation, after the Winter Olympics in 2010, these were the second Olympic Games where the Sustainable Dance Floor was present.

Interactive Installation

The installation involved visitors in a unique ‘Energy Experience’ with a dynamic light installation, 6 Energy Hand Pedals and 8 energy generating SDF modules. The installation was part of the EDF Pavillion, where visitors were made aware and taught about energy and electricity in an engaging and entertaining way. Every visitor of the Olympics could visit the pavillion and in doing so, contribute a little energy.

The Value of Energy

“We believe that people will become more aware about the value of energy once they have experienced it personally. Therefore we create fun and inspiring installations that seduces the public to share their energy. At the same time we inform them about energy production and energy consumption: this has proven to be a successful method at many great occasions, like the Olympics.”
