Philanthropy has long played a crucial role in tackling global challenges—seeding initiatives, funding innovation, and absorbing early-stage risk. At Enviu, we’ve learned that while philanthropy can spark transformative work, real, lasting impact requires market-driven solutions embedded in supportive systems and partnerships. Over the past 20 years, we’ve evolved from building standalone ventures to pursuing systemic change, shaping entire industries, and creating ecosystems where businesses, communities, and stakeholders work together for lasting solutions.

Our approach combines venture creation with ecosystem building, ensuring that each initiative is both commercially viable and socially impactful. From transforming textile waste in India with The Good Felt to reducing post-harvest losses in Kenya through SokoFresh, we focus on solving real-world problems at scale. By collaborating with communities, policymakers, corporates, and investors, we create solutions that endure, replicate, and multiply impact.

As proud members of ANDE, we’re part of a global network dedicated to supporting small and growing businesses (SGBs) — the “missing middle” that drives jobs, economic growth, and sustainable impact. Through this community, we collaborate with foundations, investors, and fellow capacity builders to break down systemic barriers for entrepreneurs and strengthen local economies.

Curious to see how Enviu has evolved from funding ideas to shaping entire systems?
