Greeshma Mahesh Hegde

Greeshma plays an anchoring role for  Enviu’s Reweave – a circular textile program, in India. She leads the program development and execution in India, to create an enabling environment where ventures can flourish. Focused on preventing Textile Waste from reaching landfills, Greeshma’s role entails creating value from textile waste streams while creating meaningful jobs for marginalized communities.
Greeshma majored in Chemistry at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai and holds a Master’s Degree in Climate Science and Policy from The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) University in New Delhi. As a dedicated researcher, she has lent her expertise to IPCC Reports and contributed to international peer-reviewed articles that revolve around human and natural systems adapting to climate change.
When not at work, Greeshma seeks solace in the great outdoors through hiking and cycling. She encourages women to embark on solo travels/ adventures and strongly advocates for girls and women to claim their space in Indian cities through sports.
