Rachael Kirui

Junior Communications Officer (Kenya)

Rachael is the chief storyteller for our East Africa office. As a communication connoisseur — or the “pied piper” of storytelling, as she describes — Rachael spins stories of daring business solutions, unwavering perseverance, and remarkable impact. Her stories remind us that no challenge is insurmountable, no obstacle too daunting, and that the power of human ingenuity and determination can overcome even the toughest odds.

Rachael’s expertise in social media marketing has enabled her to deliver impactful campaigns across multiple African countries, promoting projects and activities in collaboration with global funders, including the World Bank, the World Food Programme, and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Rachael is a true embodiment of the vibrant and dynamic spirit of her city.

Fun Fact – When not working, Rachael has a knack for getting herself into hilarious situations. Whether it’s accidentally ordering the spiciest dish on the menu or attempting to use a foreign language she’s only learned through Google Translate, Rachael’s travel adventures are always filled with laughter and unforgettable memories. In fact, her travel motto could be summed up as “I came, I saw, I laughed until I cried.”
