Enviu venture SokoFresh had the honor of showcasing its innovative cold storage solutions at the Business Forum attended by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima.
The forum highlighted Kenyan-Dutch partnerships in agriculture, logistics, healthcare, energy, and water, with a focus on innovation and digitalization. The King and Queen joined a CEO roundtable discussing business opportunities and challenges in Kenya, as well as the social impact of Dutch initiatives supporting education and youth employment.
SokoFresh is tackling a major challenge: 40–50% of fresh produce in Kenya never reaches consumers due to inadequate storage, causing income losses and food insecurity. Its pay-to-store, lease-to-own, and purchase models make cold storage accessible at the farm level, helping farmers preserve their harvests, sell at better prices, and reduce waste.

Founded in the Netherlands, Enviu continues to drive global impact through ventures like SokoFresh.
