Earlier this year, we shared how Second Spin, an Enviu venture under the Saamuhika Shakti initiative, is tackling hotel textile waste while creating dignified livelihoods for waste pickers.
Now, the story is gaining wider attention. The H&M Foundation has featured Second Spin’s progress, including its landmark partnership with The Ascott Group, one of the world’s leading hospitality players. Together, he initiative promises to repurpose over 20,000 kgs of hotel linen and uniforms annually, cutting down waste that would otherwise end up in landfills, while building sustainable income opportunities for waste picker entrepreneurs.
This recognition signals how inclusive circularity is scaling, proving that when social equity and climate action align, ventures like Second Spin can deliver real systems change.
