After nearly a decade on Enviu’s Supervisory Board, Lisa Jordan steps down, leaving behind a legacy of bold ideas and cheering on what’s still to come.
For almost ten years, Lisa Jordan has been a steady force at Enviu, offering sharp insights, tough questions, and unwavering belief in the power of system-changing ventures. As she steps down from our Supervisory Board, we’re filled with deep gratitude for her role in shaping who we are today and real excitement for where we’re headed next.
Lisa joined Enviu around 2015, when we were still experimenting with bold ideas like hydrogen taxis and kinetic energy floors. “There was a real spark in the early days,” she recalls, “a sense that business could be reimagined as a tool for deep social and environmental good.” That spark, she says, is still here. Only now, it’s supported by a much stronger structure, sharper tools, and a clearer path to impact.
Over the years, Lisa has seen Enviu evolve from early-stage experimentation to a more focused venture-building engine.
“What’s exciting now is that Enviu knows when to keep building, and importantly, when to let go and let ventures thrive. That latter point is huge. It’s what the sector needs.”
But as much as she’s proud of what’s been built, Lisa is even more energized by what’s next.
A new chapter, with new energy
“Enviu is in a great place,” Lisa shares. “The leadership is strong, the vision is clear, and the team is doubling down on building real impact.”
From growing a robust network across Kenya, Indonesia, and India to sharpening our approach to scaling and measuring impact, Enviu is leaning forward.

“There’s a solid foundation now, and a lot of new energy,” she says. “It’s the perfect time for new ideas, new ventures, and new people to step in and shape the future.”
That includes welcoming powerful new voices to the Supervisory Board, like Aparna Piramal Raje (of De’Longhi Group), whose experience in global business and inclusive design brings fresh perspective to the table. And Marcus Gover (former CEO of WRAP and Director at Minderoo Foundation), who brings in scientific rigor and visionary thinking.
Moments that shaped the journey
Looking back, Lisa doesn’t point to board decisions or strategy documents as her proudest moments. Instead, it’s the people.
“There’s a story that stays with me,” she says. “We were gathered with the global team, including Frank from PYMWYMIC, talking about the plastics crisis. You could just feel the commitment in the room, with everyone bringing their knowledge, their drive, their belief in doing better. That’s Enviu.”
She also holds space for the hard moments, like losing Sam Waterberg to COVID-19, a courageous entrepreneur in Ghana and founder of People’s Pension Trust, working on a pension system for informal laborers. “He dared to imagine something different. That kind of bravery is what makes this work matter.”
Passing the torch
As she steps down, Lisa sees her exit not as a goodbye, but as an opening.
“Stepping away creates space, for new leadership, new voices, and the next generation of impact builders to rise,” she says. “The road ahead is long, but it’s also full of possibility. I can’t wait to see what Enviu does next.”

She may be leaving the board, but Lisa’s connection to Enviu and the lessons she’s taken with her are far from over. Now working as an impact investor supporting early-stage ventures, she continues to champion the kind of systemic change Enviu was built for.
Farewell, Lisa
To Lisa, thank you. For your guidance, your honesty, your curiosity, and your fierce belief in doing things differently. You’ve left your mark on Enviu and helped us become who we are today.
And to everyone reading this: Lisa’s stepping down isn’t the end of a chapter, it’s the start of a new one. One that’s ready for fresh energy, bold ideas, and more people to plug in and shape Enviu’s next 10 years.
Let’s build what’s next (together!).
